World-Class BC salmon, halibut, and tuna fishing. From Victoria to Vancouver Island's west coast, catch the best fishing in British Columbia. Uniquely located in the migration path of the Chinook salmon, Reel Obsession features career guides steeped in the local fishery resulting in consistent big catches backed with world-class service and accommodation.
The scream of the reel as the broad shouldered king salmon took another run was music to my ears. The single action reel handles spun dangerously around as I got my hand out of the way just in time. They don’t call them knuckle busters for nothing and I had learned that painful lesson earlier in the day. That said, it was a lesson gladly accepted because it meant the fishing action was hot – and indeed it was. Our boat’s fish hold was steadily filling up with the bounty of the ocean in this remote location off Zeballos, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Three days of great fishing is just the beginning. This was my second trip with Adrian and crew. We had a group of 8 guys and all went home with a complete sense of AWESOME written all over their faces. The boat captains were great and easy to get along with. The crew at the lodge did their jobs with a smile and all reasonable requests were handled without fail. The lodge itself is very well done. Nothing fancy, but enough to make you want to come back. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation for all.
